Turn Imposter Syndrome Into Success with Somatic Therapy

Learn how healing trauma with somatic therapy can lead to freedom and empowerment.

Unresolved trauma can make it feel like you constantly have something holding you back. It can feel like you’re stuck in a constant internal battle with yourself, always questioning if you’re enough.

Secretly, you’re worried someone will see the insecurities that are mounting.

You’re worried someone will find you out.

Meanwhile your creativity, self-expression, and confidence are suffering.

At times, unpleasant emotions like sadness, grief, or anger, can unexpectedly intrude on your ability to enjoy life, making it hard to trust yourself.

It doesn’t have to be this way. If you’re reading this, then somewhere deep inside there might be a small voice that’s ready for a change.

Who might you be, if trauma and self-criticism didn’t get in the way?

How Integrative Somatic Therapy Can Help Heal Trauma

Trauma can leave a lasting imprint on both the mind and body, affecting how we respond to stress, relationships, and life transitions.

Integrative somatic therapy offers a powerful approach to healing by reconnecting the body with the mind, helping to release stored trauma and restore your natural intuition and resilience.

Here’s how integrative somatic therapy can help:

1. Restore Confidence and Self-trust

Trauma wounds our natural ability to trust ourselves. We can become disconnected from the ability to make decisions that align with what we really want. Often, it might feel like we’re stuck choosing what we should do, and not even knowing what we really want.

Somatic therapy helps to restore your ability to connect with the innate place of wisdom that we all possess. Reconnecting with this sensation in the body restores confidence, allowing you to trust yourself and make decisions that are in your best interest.

2. Regain Emotional Balance and Resilience

The cycle of self-sabotage is informed by states of emotional dysregulation. You might know the feeling, one minute it seems like everything is going well, and the next you’re anxious, depressed, and beating yourself up.

Learning to follow the flow in and out of regulation, calm and joy, allows us to re-learn how to come back to emotional balance. When you can come back to emotional balance at any time, your confidence and resilience grows. Somatic therapy teaches you the tools needed to restore this natural process.

3. Feel Connected in Relationships

Have you felt alone, even when you’re surrounded by people? Maybe you’re in a relationship, but still can’t shake that feeling of loneliness. Somehow, you just feel different than everyone else.

Trauma stored deep in the body can make it hard to shake that feeling of woundedness. Accessing and processing past wounds can open up the ability to feel connected, supported, and joyful in relationships.

4. Access Creativity, Intuition and Wisdom

Self-limiting beliefs can act like a blockage preventing us from accessing the depths of our creativity, intuition, and wisdom. As children, we are all born with creativity, playfulness, and an ability to know what we like and dislike.

Accessing and dissolving those blocks through somatic therapy helps to restore the inner creative wisdom that allows us to express ourselves, and know what we truly desire from life.

5. Become Empowered to Make Decisions

When trauma stays unresolved in the mind and body, it can feel like we’re constantly pulled in different directions. This zapping of our energies robs us of the ability to make decisions. This might leave you feeling powerless.

By accessing and reintegrating power in the body, you can restore your confidence to make decisions even when faced with uncertainty.

Knowing the benefits of somatic therapy is one thing, but actually doing it is another.

But don’t worry, I’ve been there.

I want to help you reclaim your freedom.

Hi, I'm Tristan...

and I’ve been where you are.

I understand the struggle of being stuck unfulfilling relationships, disempowering career paths, and struggling with anxiety, and depression.

My own healing journey wasn’t straightforward. I experienced childhood trauma, and was surrounded by communities that reinforced shame. I went through most of life being made to feel that I was the problem for not simply getting over my past and moving on. And believe me… I tried!

It took many years to learn the efficacy of safe, effective, and trauma informed somatic therapies. When I finally started healing and building a life of confidence, self-compassion and creativity, I was astounded that this information was more accessible to others struggling with trauma.

That’s why I founded Life Transitions Therapy, a home for those struggling to access their innate sense of confidence, freedom and self-trust. My passion for helping others reconnect with their creativity, curiosity and aliveness is what drives me.

I offer more than just somatic therapies. I offer a place to explore the depths of your being, and to find more strength than you knew you had. This is informed by my lived experience with trauma, my training in psychodynamic therapy, relational therapy, and Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, and my work as a spiritual healer.
